CCCE, in coordination with the UW Department of Communication and the Simpson Center for the Humanities, hosted a highly successful symposium exploring the “big questions” for scholars concerned with our contemporary media landscape. Entitled “The Shifting Landscape of Public Communication”, the event brought together preeminent scholars in the field to address questions of surveillance, propaganda, and the receding faith in the power of social institutions.
